Why the HERTS 10K was created
To put it quiet simply the HERTS 10K was created to help raise much need funds for Grove House Hospice based in St Albans.

The HERTS 10K is now the charity’s flagship fundraising event with 1000's of runners coming back year after year in support of their local hospice.
To date the HERTS 10K has raised over £500,000 for the hospice.
In October 2009 Levy Associates won the St Albans and District Chamber of Commerce Award for Corporate and Social Responsibility for their creation of the HERTS 10K.
In July 2010 the HERTS 10K was shortlisted in the Charity Times Awards to be announced at the Park Lane Hilton on 2 September.

Corporate responsibility is a priority for Levy Associates. In 2006 Lawrence Levy, Managing Director of Levy Associates created a 10K run which would go on to become one of Hertfordshire's finest runs. The company remains the Founder and Main Sponsor of the race with all staff members either volunteering or running in the race.
Lawrence said “This is the community where we live and work and I think it’s essential that local businesses do everything they can to support the smaller charities that truly make a difference to people’s lives”
