By Car

Harpenden is about 7 miles north of the M25 Motorway and close to Junctions 9/10 off the M1.  From Junction 9 follow signs to Redbourn, then Harpenden.  From Junction 10, take the A1081 to Harpenden. 

Parking

This year there will NOT be parking at Rothamsted Research. However, parking is available at:

• The Harpenden town centre, and at the Harpenden Railway Station. We would advise that you park at the station to avoid congestion near the race venue. Parking costs £2.00.
  Please allow at least 15 minutes walking time to get to the START/FINISH line from Harpenden town centre or train station.
• Controlled Parking is available along the tree lined Avenue at the ‘Hatching Green’ entrance to Rothamsted Research. Access from the B487 Redborn Road, Harpenden. 
• Sun Lane car park is free on a Sunday. Turn right at the roundabout as you head out of the town towards Luton – this holds around 75 cars.
• Amenbury Lane – Parking is available on the road which the leisure centre is situated on.

Train

Harpenden has frequent trains from central London (St Pancras International).  The journey time is about 30 minutes and the station is a ten minute walk away from Rothamsted.
