Important Information for Runners
Please remember there is NO parking at Rothamsted Research.
PLEASE NOTE - The west side car park at Harpenden station will be closed for essential maintenance so we advise that you leave yourself more time the morning of the race and seek alternative parking. Please click here for details.
The timing chip must be worn on your shoelace and NOT in your sock otherwise it WILL NOT work. Please follow the instructions in your pack which tell you how to wear it. Help will also be given on the day.
To ensure the race starts on time please be in your race pen by 9.50am. Please make sure you go into the race pen suitable for your expected time not your desired time! You will be timed from the moment you cross the start line to the moment you cross the finish line so your individual race times are not affected by the pen you start in.
Please remember to fill in the important contact information on the reverse of your race number and pin to the front of your HERTS 10K T Shirt.
On the day Blue Feather Photography will be taking the official press photography. Sussex Race Photography will be taking photos of runners as they cross the finsh line. For more information click here
During the race there will be two water points. At the finish you will be provided with a bottle of water. Please remember to drink plenty of water particularly if it is warm on the day.
Friends and family are encouraged to come along and support your run. There will be refreshments available as well as bouncy castles and even jousting for the adults! Plus Saracens are bringing the Aviva Premiership Trophy which you can be pictured alongside.
The race starts at 10.00am. At 9.30am there will be a pre-race warm-up by Fitness First, St Albans to get you ready for the event.
