When do I receive my race pack?

People who have registered prior to 12 noon on the 3rd October will be set a race day pack in the post this includes:

• Event Booklet
• T Shirt
• Race Number
• Timing Chip
• Sponsorship Form

PLEASE NOTE if you register after 12 noon on 3rd October 2011 you MUST COLLECT your timing chip and race number from the late registration area.

If you have not received your race pack, please bring along your email confirmation and replacement packs will be available

Do I have to raise sponsorship?

Every penny you do raise does make a difference whether it is simply £1 or £200; all the money raised goes to Iain rennie Grove House Hospice Care, helping people with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. As an added incentive prizes are avaliable for those who raise the most money! See the prizes page for more information. Can you give advice on how to raise sponsorship?

How does Gift Aid work?

Anyone giving sponsorship money who is a UK tax payer or pays Capital gains tax, should tick the gift aid box on your sponsorship form. This makes the donation worth more; an extra 28p for every £1 pledged.  

What is the minimum age to take part?

Runners must be 15 or over by the 9th October 2011. 

Is there parking available?

This year there will no be parking at Rothamstead Research. 

There will however be car parking at the railway station in Harpenden town centre.  Parking costs £2.00.  You will need to allow 15 minutes to walk to the start/finish line from Harpenden town centre. 

Where is the start and finish point?

Rothampstead Research, Harpenden.  AL5 2JQ. 

What are the details of the route?

Are there any first aid points on the course?

Yes St John's Ambulance will be located at the start/finish area and will also be on route.

Is there somewhere to leave my bag?

Yes there will be a bag drop area, items will be left at the owner's risk. 

How can I sign up to be a volunteer at the HERTS 10K?

We are looking for volunteers on the day and to help with preparation for the event. Please read here for more information.
